This is about a girl named Frances Janvier. TW: Death of an animal, parental abuse, suicide ideation, depression, discussion of mental illness “Sometimes I was hit with the weight of things I didn’t know…” Review #2 Radio Silence audiobook streamming online This book was written for you and for me. Sometimes, I think we all feel that way, and Radio’s pain is our pain. I wonder – if nobody is listening to my voice, am I even making any sound at all?” When it all comes together, and we realize who he’s speaking to and how deep his agony goes, it just ripped out my heart. Without giving too much away, Aled’s podcast and his persona, Radio Silence hit me in the feels. That was literally the boy-girl version of no homo, but I appreciate the sentiment. They have a beautiful, soul-mate type connection that feels so real and it makes me yearn for something like that. It’s a slow burn friendship and THANK THE SKIES, there is no romantic love between them. Friends who barely knew anything about each other except the other’s most private secret. He is a very private with some heavy family drama. Only he doesn’t want the world to know that. She meets Aled, who happens ot be the creator of the podcast. So, there’s Frances, and she’s obsessed with a podcast called University City which is about a person stuck in a monster-ridden city set in the future. I almost forgot to talk about the individual protagonists as a whole. They never do, do they? They never even try to listen to you. There was no way she was going to even attempt to listen to me. Which is something a lot of teenagers can relate to for sure. And even though Frances’ mother was awesome, not all of the parentals figures were so understanding. The themes in this story include depression, sexual confusion, online bullying, and abuse but on top of that, you have friendships that wild horses could not pull apart, platonic love, long lost love, typical teenage problems like school and whether to check your Tumbler or not which made it so relatable. I feel like I need to be best friends with the author. On top of some pretty awesome music selections. There were so many geek references in this book. Oh, did I add that all of the main characters are queer? Not only that but there is so much diversity I almost ran outside and screamed for an AMEN. Like Christmas morning and when you find a dollar in your pants pocket. So, this is one of those books that I completely thought was different than it turned out to be. I’m beginning feel bad for people who haven’t read this yet. A day later and I’ve yet to reach the bottom. It took my feet and pulled and kept on pulling. I also didn’t expect to be completely drowned in this story. So, I didn’t expect to finish the last 300 pages of this book last night. (Oh and get this: they aren't selling The Hunchback of Notre Dame when it comes out on Blueray in March at Disney Stores weird right? I mean I know it's not as popular as other movies, but I was pretty surprised.Be prepared for a crazy amount of quotes. Hades on the other hand is more probable. Speaking of Frollo he would look dashing as a designer doll, his outfit would be perfect since it is already pretty "blingy" XD If they came out with a Frollo doll I'd be in heaven, though it's not likely at all. I'm hoping for a Hades because he's starting to get popular again, plus he's one of my favorites along side Frollo. Facilier aren't far-fetched, we may just get him. I purchased the Jafar and Maleficent (I agree his turban is too small, but I never ever see Jafar dolls so I had to get him XD same with Maleficent, I can't really afford the designer ones at the moment so these will do) As I was checking out, the cast member noticed I was a Villains fan and said that they ARE creating a LOT more. Given that movie has been out for twenty years, that's saying a lot.Īfter reading this I'd like to present some good news :) These dolls are relatively new. They make one Jafar doll every ten years. And be on the look-out for these dolls at Disney Stores soon: Disney's Maleficent finished wrapping earlier this month, so there's no turning back now XD One event, on Septemwill include a Disney Villain event where the Magic Kingdom will stay open to the 13th hour, 1 am. The part that pertains to us:Īlso in 2013, Disney visitors can expect a 52-week long celebration called “Limited Time Magic.” The event will bring a pirate-themed week, dance parties and lesser seen costume characters to the park. Disney announced some new plans for the parks in 2013. Did anyone see Wreck-It Ralph? Did you enjoy it? It seemed to be a hit with the critics. I guess that was supposed to last us for the rest of the year XD After the Designer Line, Disney hasn't given us much to report.
